The Maison de Champagne Roederer is one of the last known familial « Maisons de Champagne ».

Inheritor of la Maison de Champagne in 1833, esthete and businessman, Louis Roederer decided to control all the steps of the production of wines creating a unique style and a singular taste.

In the middle of the 19th century, when he bought vines only by trusting his instinct, Louis Roederer acted against the customs and habits of his time. 

While some people buy grapes, Louis Roederer cherish the vineyard. He believed that a wine becomes great due to his soil, to the love of tradition and to the passion for the future. His inheritor, Louis Roederer II has the same vision of champagne. The same patrimonial conception of the domain, the same boldness.
