The Domaine de la Femme la Femme Allongée is located in Villespassans in the appellation area of Saint Chinian. In 2007 Jean Paul Gracia and his wife Fabienne decided to create their own wines. Located at a 300m height on a clay-limestone soil, between Saint-Chinian and Saint-Jean-de-Minervois, the domain is a small family vineyard, whose name comes from the mountain called CAROUX . According to the legend, Cébenna daughter of a Titan, laid down on the Caroux mountain to die and was petrified. Cébenna is said to be the origin of the mountain of the Cévennes.
The Domaine de la Femme Allongée is a 5 hectares vineyard run in integrated farming on a clay-limestone soil. The work in the vineyard is mainly manual, like for the harvest that are manual to preserve the fruit.
The vinifications are well done, highlighting the freshness and minerality of the mountain plateau.
